they make you pay in advance because they know otherwise you won’t stay there. the worst accommodation in 6 months travelling. insects in the room, wall like paper you can hear all the neighbours, cold water (still ok), bad smell in the room, bad location on the island, had to ask someone to call for us because nobody was there to welcomed us when we arrived, kettle available but no coffee or tea what a joke and overall it’s really expensive regarding the poor service

A great budget option in the Perhentian Islands within the Fishermen Village. The property stands above the village giving sweeping views of the village, the sea and Besar Island. The property is a 5min walk to the main part of the village and there are numerous restaurants available and small shops. Also, a great snorkelling site is within a 10min walk with lots of anemone coral and anemone (Nemo) fish - right in front of the Nemo Chalet. Rooms are basic but very comfortable. Air conditioning is quiet but powerful. Anis was a wonderful host. She came to greet me at the jetty on my arrival, helped me book a local snorkel excursion and also my return boat ride to the mainland. Some previous reviews criticised the steps leading up to the property. I disagree with this criticism. I agree that the steps may be a problem for weaker unfit people or for travellers who need to carry 20kg cases up the steps. If you fall into either of these categories it might be better to go some where else since getting up the steps may be a struggle. I'm moderately fit and was only carrying an 8kg backpack so had no issues whatsoever. I counted about 70 steps going up the hill to Perhentian Anis' View.

The only criticism I have is that the walls are very thin. My neighbours liked staying up late and watching movies on their lap tops and chatting until the early morning. Not sure if the owners could do more with sound proofing the rooms. I'd suggest bring ear plugs in case you are unlucky and get noisy neighbours.

i like everything about this chalet. it is a good value for its price, the owner was very friendly and helpful. the place is just nice, a cozy one to rest after a long day full of activities.

The location is quite high but thats ok, the view was mesmerizing though.

basic but really great accommodation. the room is comfortable and the staff are very helpful for organising snorkelling tour, ferry etc. Located in the village with some nice restaurants close by but you will need to get a taxi boat to long beach.

- solid wifi and electricity 24/7 - good A/C (quiet)

- extremely thin walls - no drinking water dispenser - no hangers in the bathroom - no mirror in the bathroom - no soap/shampoo provided - limited storage space (there was only one small bedside table)

need to hike together with huge luggage. i think should offer a bearer to carry the bag while hiking on top
