4 The Archways

The place was clean, comfortable and warm on a winter's evening. Our host Conor made us feel very welcome. Lots of nice little touches. Highly recommend.

Good parking easy access to town fast check in checkot. Very comfortable apt. Tea making facilities. Fridge in room with water milk chocolate bars when I arrived. Kitchenette just outside room with all your needs supplied. Great flatscreen tv with multiple stations.

A lovely spacious room tucked away in the middle of the town. Despite the hot weather the room was deliciously cool. The bed was huge and comfortable but there was still plenty of room around it. The helpful host contacted us to make sure that we could get in when we arrived and had left milk, water, etc. We liked the high standard of the furnishings and equipment. There was free parking close by on the town centre car park.

The lock to the outside door was a little tricky to get the hang of. The small fridge, whilst much appreciated, was a little noisy in the night and the kettle was in a separate room which meant having to go out into the hallway.

Joanne helped us find the nearby free carpark and appartment entrance. (Google maps brings you to a black gate which needs a key and does not show a 2nd option to get there). Connor had sent a map of it too but it seemed much further than it actually is. They were both very helpful. Location is handy for restaurants, a short walk and is in the centre of the village.

The booking confirmation email stated: Deluxe Kamer met Kingsize Bed This double room has a toaster, microwave and tea/coffee maker. …..There was however no toaster or microwave. The ‘utility room ‘ is not a kitchenette. Hooks for towels would be useful rather than having to put them over the chair. The fridge takes up a lot of space being on the table. Would be better on the floor. It made some noise though was not excessive or constant. Light came through the bathroom window and glass door at 3.20am lighting up one of the bedroom walls. A curtain would eliminate this. There was a light smell of drains in the shower.

Excellent location. Spacious and quiet for town centre. Ample free car parking close by. Nice welcoming extra treats supplied in mini fridge. Host Conor was very quick to respond to queries. Lovely town and region for a short-break.

Bathroom/Shower unfortunately has very bad drain smells - needs to be sorted. Bed Linen/Pillows could be improved, would prefer to see crisp white/egyptian cotton. Maybe move mini-fridge to utility as it can be a bit noisy.
