Close to downtown area and beaches super quiet street with very nice properties

Location was very convenient especially close to major supermarket to keep food in the refrig. Easy access to buses and taxis to get around to local and somewhat nearby beaches. Bathroom was huge. Host was responsive.

no breakfast but very close to cute little very good cafe served breakfasts& fresh juices,smoothies & pastries. very goodservice. Also very close to large supermarket & mall & not too far a walk to beach.

no view. no staff to greet upon arrival. wrong wifi info, in rooms.

On our two stays at Casa Oaxaquena, we stayed in the Zandunga (I think) room on the ground floor near the open common area. We really liked the colorful, folky Oaxacan decor all over. The good sized, shared kitchen is well set-up and organized. There is also a coffee bar in the entrance area, which was very welcome, especially when we first arrived. Our bathroom and shower area were quite large with plenty of space to hang clothes, dry swimming items, place travel gear. Huge bed and very functional A/C, thank goodness. Also, Casa Oaxaquena is situated on a really nice cobblestone street, in a quiet residential neighborhood. This turns out to be one of the coveted neighborhoods (Sector M), as it is also very convenient for accessing shops (such as Chedraui supermarket), restaurants, La Crucecita, Bahia Chahue, etc. There's even a laundromat close by. We often walked to Playa Santa Cruz, as well, though it is a bit farther.

The internet was really spotty during our first visit. It was much better the second time we stayed. The sitting pool was not clean or available to use. In our room there was no place to sit except the bed.

it was cozy and very homey, liked the details in the room and the attention from the staff. the location was also great.

there were some issues with the infrastructure, leaks in the bathroom, problems with the door. nothing alarming it was fixed immediately
