Penzion Villa Gerlach

A lovely pension next to the train stop "Nový Smokovec". From here you can take the narrow-gauge railway to all the other towns along the High Tatras or just a ten minute walk away from the pension, you can take the cable car up into the mountain. It’s the perfect starting point for hikes and day trips. Close to the pension you will find restaurants, cafes and supermarkets. There’s a kitchen where you can prepare your own meals. The bed was comfortable and our room was clean. We had a balcony with a view of the narrow-gauge railway ♥

Excellent location. Train stop Novy Smokovec across the road. Few minute walk to the hiking trails. Owner Ada was lovely. She was very welcoming and helpful. We had a room with terrace and we enjoyed having breakfasts outside on the terrace. Also, check in was easy to follow.

We used refrigerator downstairs and few days later our food was stolen from it. Just be careful when storing food in the refrigerator downstairs, because all guests can use it. It is on your own responsibility. Apart from that everything was great.
