Sweet View Guesthouse

When we first got there they wanted to put us in a room that no windows, no way to get a source of fresh air. Luckily, the electricity was not functioning so we were moved upstairs to a room with windows. The walls are paper thin and not even closed on the top near the ceiling so be prepared to hear everything & be heard. Not even an hour in our stay, I saw a rat trying to bite it’s way through the “wall” of our room (to prove how thin these walls are). We heard rats all night crawling around and simply crossed our fingers that they wouldn’t chew their way into our bags. The mosquito nets had holes everywhere so we weren’t really protected. Check your mattresses for bedbugs before sleeping there. The floors were very dirty so we kept our shoes on the whole time. The shared bathroom doors hardly open or close. Overall, this was the worst place we stayed at throughout our 3 month travel in South east Asia. We booked for 2 nights when we first got there but didn’t even stay there the second. I don’t wish any bad to this business but I hope this may encourage the owner to better the place which had some potential.

The property is amazing! Its close to the beaches and the little shops around the harbour. The owner is super cool and friendly. I felt very safe there and had a great time. Hardly recommend and definitely worth to come back.

I kept renewing because I liked it. In total I was there 10 days. The room is simple but very spacious and was clean. I like nature sounds, so I was happy about the open room. And the view from the hammock is breathtaking. Very quiet and perfect for relaxing. Thank you for the great time. I will defenitly come back again.

The bedbugs, the inability to cool the room and the mosquito bites due to broken mosquito nets

the view from the terrace is lovely, plenty of hammocks to enjoy the view.

room was filthy on arrival, staff spoke no English and tried to move our room several times before letting us call his manager to get the room we booked. room was extremely hot without air con. location is 10 mins out of centre with a steep walk upwards to the hotel.

killer walk up mountain to get to, could cause serious medical issues for older guests, can not get there by tuk tuk. stomping from rooms above, no window in room so it has no air flow and becomes a hot box, no hot water, staff just lounge around wasted all day in guest's common area which makes it uncomfortable for guests, the stink of what staff are getting wasted on by smoking constantly in guest areas, no restaurant at all so you constantly have to go down then walk up the mountain to get any food or drink. no care when cleaning, garbage left on commons table for several days, room never cleaned in 1 week no fresh sheets or towels not even garbage collected

Great location, just a few minutes walk from the main beach. Beautiful view.

The owner was smoking weed in the accommodation, that wasn’t very nice. The bathroom and toilet weren’t as clean as they should be. The places need some maintaines soon. We asked for fresh towels after two days, but the staff didn’t understand, even not using Google Translate.
