Dwaraka Guest House

Nice and helpful staff. Nice confortable big bed. I liked that each floor had a small terrasse with a couple of table and chairs to read, or hang out. It was nice to have a kettle in the room and a water filter available for everyone. They have a rooftop where one can do yoga and to be able to hang your clothes dry in the sun.Some rooms have mountain view. The location is ideal, walking distance to the Ramana Maharshi Ashram and to nice restaurant and shops. Very nice and peaceful neighborhood with lots of tree shade.

The location is good as it's a relatively quiet street but still within walking distance to the Ashram. The bedroom wasn't bad.

I was assigned room Krishna. The bathroom let the room down - everything about it looked worn and grubby. Probably it had been properly cleaned, but it didn't have that appearance. There was a complementary bottle of water in the room, but no filtered water available, which is disappointing as I was trying to avoid adding to the plastic waste problem. There were no clothes hangers. There was no laundry option. No guests are allowed past the security desk. I had hoped to give a friend a reflexology treatment in the afternoon, but that wasn't an option as I couldn't even take her to the seating area upstairs, never mind the room. I'd be unlikely to recommend as the other 2 places I stayed (Inner Child & Unga Veedu) were much better value for money.

Location and hospitality of host.

Could not open windows , because they blocked the verandah, other guests couldn't get past. There wasn't a mountain view from my room without opening the window (which you couldn't as stated above). Mine room was the first room on the 3rd floor. Felt room was missing a desk or table that the kettle could of been on with some tea and coffee for the price I paid. The kitchen on the 3rd floor was really functional- Fridge was off and no filtered water. I didn't like having to buy water in PLASTIC. Maybe they could get a uv filter and then charge people for filling up. The place was ok but does need a number of issues resolved, stiff lock and key, dangerous tripping hazard on verandah, more facilities in kitchen, labels on all the light switches.

Little bit long for temple

The gust house is little bit inside there is no auto stand, Its in residential area.

I liked the terrace, the staff was nice and the area is very peaceful.

The bathroom could be better and the other guests were making noise at 5am.
