Hostal El Palacio

The location was right on the Camino de Santiago right as you got into town from one of the most grueling days of leg-breaking downhill. So, it was very welcoming. There is even a bike rack right in the lobby, which was very convenient for me.

Location is great, right by the Roman bridge when entering the town from the Camino

The baggage lift was broken and there are steep stone stairs to the fifth flr. Not convenient for an older person with luggage. No offer of help from staff.

OMG we had the suite with wrap around windows. It was so comfortable we didn’t leave the room. We brought in dinner! Lovely

The room was not as described e.g no balcony.

직원이 여직원 혼자인데 무뚝뚝해 보이지만 나름 최선을 다하고 있는 것으로 보였음. 영어로 의사소통도 가능해서 여러 질문에도 대답을 잘 해주었음. 근처 한국분들이 많이 묵는 알베르게에서 한국 컵라면과 김치를 팔고 있어서 컵라면을 먹음. 여기서 컵라면과 소주 등을 팔고 있어 보고 있는데 이층에서 갑자기 한국 젊은분이 한국분이세요? 하고 인사를 해서 기억에 남는 장소임. 호텔 바로 앞이 돌로 만든 다리이기는 하나 로맨틱하다고는 보기 어려움. 주변 식당에서 저녁을 먹었는데 영어가 안 되서 다소 어려움이 있었으나 식사는 맛있었고 사람들도 친절했음.
