Hostal Sant Sadurní

The room was lovely and very very clean, we will definitely be going back to stay. The owners were really lovely and gave us plenty of recommendations about the area.

A nice small hostel in a quiet village. The room was exceptionally clean, the AC worked well. It is a good stay for visiting Cava wineries, which are at a walking distance. The reception worked perfectly. Would stay again.

Montse was a fabulous host & could not have asked for anything more. sorted out a parking ticket for us & was so kind to our family. Organised for us to go to Cava Recarado, which is a small family run business..superb all round, can not thank you enough

My family and I stayed at this hostal twice. It was convenient for us to be close in the city center. Everything is in walking distance and close to restaurants, café and stores. The hostal is very clean and meets all of our basic needs. To top it all off, the owner, Montse, is very friendly, hospitable and helpful. I definitely recommend and will return.

The hostel is perfectly comfortable, all fixtures/fittings brand new, good wifi, very quiet (pedestrian street just a couple of minutes' walk from the town centre), free parking nearby -- but over 70 euros for a small double room seems a bit expensive when the hostel has no services (unstaffed reception, no breakfast offering or common areas). We'd paid 20 euros less at a full-service hotel elsewhere just a few days before. But perhaps this is the going rate in Sant Sadurni. One small note: the shower cubicle in the bathroom was minute, the smallest I've ever seen. I am average sized and had difficulty turning round in it without knocking the tap on/off. If you are at all on the large side, it would be an impossibility.

We stayed one night at the Hostal Sant Sadurni. The owner, Montserrat, was warm and welcoming, and we were thankful for a quiet and clean room in the center of this very walkable town. Access to the hostal was secure and easy with a swipe card, plus an elevator to our floor. The location was perfect; we were able to walk to the hostal from the train station, and from there explore many wine shops and cafes.

My partner and I booked a double room for 2 nights during Cavatast 2011 and had a fantastic stay. For the price of 85 Euros per night (high season because of the festival) we had an immaculate room, which appeared to have been recently renovated. Prior to our stay, Montse was very helpful in helping us with our queries and on arrival she met us and gave us lots of maps, leaflets and advice on where to eat. We definitely recommend travelling here during Cavatast as there is a great atmosphere in the town. We hadn't made reservations for dinner and it was difficult as most restaurants were full with large family groups because of the festival. We were surprised how many nice bakers and artisan chocolate shops there were nearby. The hostal was very secure, with swipe cards for the main door for the building as well as the room, although the town is also very safe. On arrival we were concerned about finding a parking space, but we actually found a few empty spaces on the hill just 10 seconds walk from the hotel.

On our arrival we had a very friendly and helpful reception from the owners. The room was very clean and comfortable and we wished we had stayed for more than one night. The hostal does not have the facilities of larger standard hotels but do not be put off without givng it some thought. Excellent access to the town for cafes, shops and restaurant (which made breakfast very easy). Parking outside the hostal might be a problem but free parking nearby.
