Staying at Ikal felt more like staying at a friend’s place than at a hostel, we immediately felt welcome and it was pretty hard to leave. A truly unique place!

"Awesome hostal, staff and location."

The cost of room, the staff, the location, the building, the rooftop terrace. This is a great hostal one I'd like to revisit.

I lost my glasses case somewhere in the hostal, so I put my rayban sunglasses in my bag as my glasses cost more, and the outcome was a lens cracking. No fault of the hostal, but I figured I'd mention it as I didn't like it...

"Comfortable place"

The staff were super friendly and helpful, always around to answer our questions. The room was a good size and the shower was hot (not a given in our experience). We had access to a decent kitchen, which was very useful as we stayed for a week so didn't want to eat out every day. The rooftop was a lovely place to relax and enjoy the views/chat to others.

San Cristobal can be quite cold at night and the hostel doesn't have heating/isn't well insulated so we had to wear thermals and request extra blankets. The kitchen could do with being tidied/cleaned more regularly.

Stylish but nonusable - wooden wall in bathroom have big spaces filled by toilet paper ... + stony floor so there were really cold Cold room and no heater Small beds for two people No space for giving the clothes on

We loved this place. Its very chilled and has a great, relaxed atmosphere. We loved the owners Chris and Paul, who were very helpfull with booking our tours, and gave us some good advices where to go. Everything at very reasonable prices. The place was cozy and everything in order. At the rooftop we had a great night hanging out with friends of the house. Exactly how we liked it. We highly recommand the hostal. And will 100% stay here again if (when) we come back. :-) Claudia, Denmark.
