Casa Olival has beautiful modern rooms and baths. It’s very convenient to town and to walking along the Douro. our room overlooked the lovely family gardens. There is a well equipped kitchen and beautiful common room. This isn’t a B and B so you need to bring breakfast food or go out. Very little English or Spanish is spoken in town.

We loved our stay at Casa do Olival - the house was lovely - looking out at the vine covered hills and the family garden - easy walking distance to great restaurants along the lovely Douro river pathways, central location for drives around the Douro valley. The host was so nice (we used Google translate to communicate), the house was spotless, the location near the river was on a quiet side street laden with wisteria vines. The rooms were spacious, large full bathrooms in each room, everything was spotlessly clean and up to date. Really a perfect property at a great price!!

This is a lovely house from a local family. We were absolutely gobsmacked with what was given us for our money! The family is very attentive with every detail: at check in we were made very comfortable, we were shown around our room and the house which has a communal living room and a communal kitchen with all the facilities. The owners have an excellent maner and accomodated all our requests and nothing was ever too much of a trouble. We would not get a better room in Regua, clean to the dot with everything you might need - an amazing room with a view to the Douro river, the city and the mountains - the veranda in the room gave us the chance to sit and enjoy the weather and the sunset! The room has air conditioning. The owner lent us bicycles which allowed us to explore the city. The house is located in the outskirts, only 5 minutes walk from the centre and 15 from the train station. The views are breathtaking and this is definitely value for money. We have stayed multiple times both here and in Casa Largo do Cruzeiro which belongs to the same family and we will always go back to this fantastic place!
