Mei Hsiao Yuen Hostel

酒店整體設施還算可以，地點臨近夜市，但很難找，在小巷裡。房間空調沒暖風，12月底入住，洗澡很痛苦。

A very basic hostel with private rooms. Housekeeping doesnt clean your room daily. However, the room is clean. The bed is very comfortable and cosy. Bathroom is a little old fashioned but everything is working fine. Most of the time you will never find a receptionist at the counter but you probably wont need one since you will be out the entire day. Bottom line: Totally value for money for smaller size couple.

Clean and cosy stay for our trip. Near to Fengjia night market, only about 10mins walking distance. But suggest to take taxi from taichung HSR as it's quite hard to locate if not sure the exact location. The staff very helpful to plan itinerary for us.

Took cab from Taichung HSR, only abt NT240. Recommended to take taxi if not sure the exact location because got certain distance from HSR. Very near to Fengjia NM. The owner very helpful to help us plan the itinerary as I didn't do much research. Btw, the room is super clean and cosy. Will stay here again on next visit:)

Feeling like home

Overall the hostel is well managed and clean. However, it would not be as suitable for girls as it is not located at the big roads and might be dangerous when it is dark at night. The stay was enjoyable otherwise.

I took a cab from hsr taichung stop to xi tun elementary school as I had trouble in communicating the address to the driver. Had some trouble in finding the place as there's no sign board. Gave them a call to assist me in finding the location. They provided us a map which is helpful though in Chinese. There's a sofa in the room making it easy for us to eat and watch tv. The room size is decent and you can do your own laundry at the basement (for a fee). Just a 10 min walk away from the night market. Along the way you can stop at the stalls to have local delicacies. Enjoyed my stay and will come again if I'm visiting taichung

Only 10 minute walk to the night market. The place is hard to find but was beautiful inside.

Excellent staff. I think her name was Pei Pei. Friendly, helpful and made us feel at home. Clean Family room, comfortable and value for money. Located a 5 minutes away from night market.
