Montañon Negro "casa MariaLuisa"

A beautiful rural cabin high in the mountains, away from civilization. Access was very good, only few hundred meters from mountain road, parking possible in front of cabin. Cabin is a little apart from owners house, distance enough between the two houses to offer good privacy. House was nice, outside and inside, everything we hoped it would be, not more, not less. All necessary equipment was present in the kitchen, bathroom, livingroom and bedrooms. A fireplace in livingroom gave cozy feeling to colder evenings. We visited the cabin when the weather in the mountains was bit colder and we also had more wind. When windy, the fireplace starts to drive smoke inside, that has to be considered, otherwise all your clothes smell like smoke the rest of your holiday. A few things to point out that could be improved. First, during off-season the house gets cold, bring slippers or host could leave slippers or carpets, because floor tiles get really cold. Also the dampness can get under your skin, so take warmer clothes with you or the host could leave some shoulder blankets. Luckily there were electric radiators in the bedrooms that helped a lot. The price for off-season is a bit high, we accepted this as we were strict on the accessibility by car and this cabin was perfect in this. And finally, maybe a small hint to the host for the future, maybe not a good idea to have a camera inside livingroom. I dont know if it was working or not but it does not matter. Outside for security reasons could be one thing, but why have it inside where clients are? We closed the camera cover for our time there. All-in-all we were pleased with the mountain cabin and the location and with the given tips would recommend it.

House in the high mountains - despite the fires in the fireplace is was cold ( smoke smell in the morning) , however we had 2 extra heaters so we manageded. Kitchen is minimal but sufficient

Barbecue and fireplace with charcoal and wood provided. Great location. Beautiful walk directly from house. Juan was very nice. Delicious honey and bread.

No hand towels in the bathrooms. Pillow too thick for me.

The location and views of the mountains and sea are amazing. Juan brought fresh bread in the morning, which was much appreciated. The authentic house with fireplace ensured an excellent stay.
