La Abuela Mercedes en Trevélez

Everything was perfect during our stay at this rustic house. The fresh air of the mountains and the topmost neighbourhood of the village felt so good. The place is compact and rustic as advertised, exceptionally clean, there was even an assortment of tea bags on offer. The lady who greeted us was so friendly and helpful. Usually these older rustic places can sometime be a little dusty, this place was so clean, from kitchen utensils to bathrooms, impressive. The shower was hot and had good water pressure. We were gifted free fire wood. Thanks to the owner for allowing a spontaneous additional guest at no extra cost. Overall, if you're looking for a get away for a few days in the mountains, this is your place.

Nothing, except that on arrival by car I found the ascending streets a little challenging, but that's the nature of a village in the mountains and nothing to do with the accommodation itself.

Lovely traditional house, everything we needed was there and right next to walk ro trevelez mirador, perfect! Care taker Maria was excellent and explained all the facilities, even helped us with problem with our car when leaving.

Wonderful situation in the barrio alto.Beautifully thought out mountain house.Very clean and everyone we met was very kind and helpful.

Couldn’t get any more authentic! We loved everything about it, including the horses that wandered through the streets!

We loved the location - it was a bit of climb to the property and guests should be aware that the house is located at the top of Trevelez.

Loved this place. Really cosy local house. Not as plush as many places we stayed in but it was a lot more fun and attractive. The temperature was lovely. Shower was cold but we didn't mind that. It's also at the very top of the hill so you need to not mind walking. Loved trevelez as well and the climb to mulhacen
