Casa Rural La teja (Caminito del Rey)

A la casa y a la finca no le falta un perejil. No faltaría nada para poder pasar un buen fin de semana o algunos días más. A sus gestores, ni una pega. Ampliamos a ultima hora con 5 personas, y nos lo solucionaron.

No es que no me gustara, pero hubiera sido la guinda. Tener un saquito de carbón nos hubiera evitado ir hasta el pueblo, que aunque está cerca en kms, la carretera es algo complicada.

Very spacious, clean, a lot of good utilities to use, amazing value for money. Host very easy to contact, any concerns were handled right away. We really enjoyed the stay and would easily recommend it to anyone looking for an escape with friends for some good quality time together.

The kitchen could be a bit more equipped, additional pans and kitchen utensils could be added

It's a great location for El Chorro climbing, via ferrata and the Kings Walk (Caminito Del Rey). The communal areas are large and great for dining and socializing together. There are lots of stray dogs in the area, so go out in groups and take a torch. The host was very helpful, though we had a beeping smoke alarm throughout that we could not locate, as another guest had tried to silence it, and nobody had noticed.

Despite sleeping a large number, the hot water runs out after a handful of short showers and takes time to replenish. Don't be the last one in after a long day.

We loved the house and the pool area and really enjoyed the piece and quiet in the mountains. Close to Caminito del Rey is a bonus. Juan was very welcoming and nice to deal with. We will definitely come back 😇.

The house is very big and nice interiors, well made and cozy. Kitchen is good, with dishwasher and induction stove. Oven is a bit small for max capacity cooking, but otherwise ok. Three bathrooms in the main apartment, all in a separate section of the house. Dinner table is big enough to have everyone dining. There is a pool area, but it was closed during the winter season, as it was stated in the booking.com description. Grill/bbq/summer kitchen area outside.

We were there in quite cold weather, with single digit celsius, going as low as 3-4 in the nights. The house was not heated up prior to our arrival. Even though there were radiator heaters in some of the rooms and two AC units, it took couple of days to heat the house up. We did not light up the stove, even though there was one in the living room. Luckily we had prepared with warm clothing and some wool socks. The bedrooms had extra blankets, so sleeping was not an issue. The continued issue was that there is no heating in the bathroom section of the house, making showering a bit unpleasent. I guess this was more about the (exceptionally?) cold weather than a shortcoming of the house though.

Excellent Spanish style house in a beautiful location we had a magical stay with 16 family members and loved every minute the area is stunning .
