Villa Cala Dia

The villa was lovely and in a lovely position, great for supermarket and for bars and restaurants. The pool was easy to access.

The en suite shower flooded at first, I called the villa company and they came out and fixed the next day. There were 4 broken/cracked plastic chairs on the terrace. Thought that having to remove all rubbish from the villa was excessive with the amount that we paid for the villa. I felt that it was on the high side. We also had a visit from the cleaner dropping off towels, she didn't tell us she was there and went into my grandaughters room and woke her up, from a safeguarding prospective this wasn't great and upset her.

Great location - walking distance to marina, shops, restaurants and beaches. Very clean and well appointed with everything you will need for your stay.

Beds are a little firm for our liking and need extra pillows as they are thin. The sun loungers have worn down so you can feel the bars underneath when you lie on them. Bin instructions are very confusing and stressful knowing you can be fined if you make a mistake!

De ruimtes, een heerlijk licht huis en het zwembad was ook zeer prettig. Een grote supermarkt op 40 meter was perfect! De service was echt heel goed. Het verhuurbedrijf was zeer goed te bereiken en de medewerkers waren altijd aanspreekbaar en vriendelijk. Ze waren zeker bereid om alles snel op te lossen.

De bedden waren niet echt fijn om op te liggen. Te zachte en goedkope matrassen. We kregen 2 handdoeken per persoon met 1 keer wissel in 8 dagen, voor een fijn gevoel is dat te weinig. Alles was gedateerder dan op op de foto’s leek, dat viel ons tegen. De keuken was ook echt gedateerd. Alles werkte wel, maar hier en daar met wat gebreken. Op sommige momenten van de dag was er een enorme stank (rioollucht) in keuken. Waarschijnlijk kwam het uit de gootsteen. De vaatwasser en 1 toilet waren kapot (werd wel snel gerepareerd). De buitenverlichting werkte niet bij het zwembad.

The space, the location.

The dishwasher trays were all dusty and corroded. It’s needs to be replaced. The cutlery press was dirty and the cutlery was ‘rusty’. The lights in the pool didn’t work at nighttime which was disappointing.

The location was fantastic as it was close to the Marina and the supermarket. It was also only a short walk into town and to the beach. My family also enjoyed the pool table and table tennis during our holiday and of course being able to sign into Netflix on the day it rained! We found everything we needed in the villa to enjoy our stay and would stay again

When we arrived the pool was not very clean with debris in the bottom, after a few days I reported this but it took more days for it to be cleaned, by then it was a week from we arrived. I feel this fault lies with the pool cleaning company. It can be noisy through the day as the boat yard is in front of the villa and work starts at 8am however I would still stay there again, weekends are quite and from 4pm onwards.

Spacious villa with nice views of the marina, nice pool with good outside space, 3 showers + 1 at the pool.

Boatyard outside can be noisy at times, shower on the top floor bedroom was slow to drain, coffee machine was not working

The location was great for the town and Marina, and the villa was a great size with a lovely balcony

The pool was dirty on arrival and not filled sufficiently, so we couldnt use it for our first full day as we arrived Saturday but it wasnt fully rectified until the Monday morning. There were also groundworks for the whole week in the boatyard behind the villa, with noisy heavy machinery doing lots of digging.

amazing location, great QR code that brought up all local services, living room had smart TV with Netflix etc was nice for a break from the sun. 7 min walk to spar corner shop , 5 min walk to the port restaurants, 12 min walk to larger supermarket for a big shop, 10 min walk into cala d’or town centre. towels changed through the week was helpful but should have given us warning as to when! Good air con in all rooms but was on a timer so only came on for a few hours at tea time then from 10pm-7am, didn’t bother us but might for some people that are inside during the day.

kitchen very small unsuitable for cooking for 8 people as no worktop space. downstairs en suite shower overflowing every use, flooded the bathroom on multiple occasions. horrible drainage smell from time to time at the front of the property, didn’t smell it often in the pool area. As it’s right next to the boat workshop there was on and off loud machine noise in the day, but never after 4pm. no bin liners, washing up liquid etc, have to walk up the road to take the rubbish to the external bins. If I’m being ultra picky the sun beds were dirty and discoloured but they did the job
