Villa Punxa

Beautifully renovated finca, amazing garden, clean and lovely pool, beautiful surroundings and views, calm and tranquil. Portvil provided an on-line food shopping service and communication was good overall. Towels were changed midweek.

Lack of welcome pack - needed to know where the supermarkets were, buses, how to gate a taxi (mallorcab app), especially important if you are arriving with children fairly late. A plan of Pollensa would have been useful and a bottle of water at least as a welcome for guests would have been gratefully received. The route to town is down a lovely lane but is a good half hour walk - not easy in midday sun or when dark (as was the case with us when we had to go into town in search of food on first night).

No welcome pack. We arrived about 1.00am and some basics (water, bread , eggs) would have been appreciated. The water is not pleasant to drink! There were no basics like salt , pepper , sugar, oil etc that previous guests usually leave. Presumably the cleaners take these after each visit? A lot of stains on the walls of squashed mosquitoes! Inside is quite traditional and could do with a little updating.

outside bathroom lock broken with evidence of very cheap historic repairs. no outside running water. constant internal infestation of ants. poor and intermittent WiFi. insufficient WIFI broadcast range - wouldn’t work outside of the property.

Gorgeous villa, the pool is to die for. We spent lots of time swimming and eating on the terrace. Ideal for a family or group looking for somewhere peaceful but close to the amenities of Pollenca and lots of stunning beaches within 10 minute drive.

The only downside was the irratic arrival of the cleaning staff to change towels and the pool guy arriving an hour before we were supposed to check out which ruined our plans of a final last swim. Also as we stayed in the villa for 2 weeks it would have been nice to have bathrooms cleaned and floors swept at least once during our stay.
