Casa Bonita-overlooking the sea

The view was incredibly pretty. That’s about it.

The place was so run down and in parts unclean. The whole place was unsafe for my 8 month old. We were unable to enjoy the only good part of the accom, because we were concerned of leaving him alone. My son’s sheet came off his bed and the mattress was vile. Heavily stained. There was a dead bird on the balcony. Not the owners fault but not a great first impression. The fridge wasn’t clean, with dirt all round it. None of the glasses or cutlery were clean either. Everything was old and could do with an update. With cracked photo frames for example. The lampshades and fan were absolutely covered in dust. I looked at booking an alternative within 10 minutes of being there but due to the limited availability in the area and the extra cost it would have meant, we stuck it out. However, we will defo not be returning.

Swimming pool was closed during our stay . We had not been made aware of that before arriving.

Gorgeous view, loved sitting on the rooftop balcony in the evenings, good location, 3 minute drive to a lovely beach, easy drive to centre or Nerja. Couldn't have asked for more! Maybe a note on the noticeboard with the times of the pool opening as we didn't realise the first day, but the pool area was exceptionally clean and beautiful.

The unexpected (and very reasonably priced) offer of providing a grocery pack was so welcome given that I am not a driver, so it enabled me to settle straight into my holiday without having to immediately rush to the nearest supermarket and then have to carry it all back. The hosts were also very lovely and helpful - nothing was too much trouble - I couldn't fault it, a wonderful holiday!

Casa Bonita suited us really well - we wanted a quiet location and sea views and this was just right. It's a 2 storey upside down terraced town house with the bedrooms on the lower floor and a large roof terrace as a 'third' floor above the lounge. It was spacious, very clean, well equipped with lots of storage and comfortable so we really enjoyed our stay and also appreciated the basics of milk etc provided for our arrival.

Nothing we didn't like but this property may not be ideal for anyone with mobility issues as the bathroom is on the lower floor and the urbanisation is hilly, hence the lovely views from the terrace of Casa Bonita.
