Villas El Paraiso

The stay in the apartment was excellent. There was no problem with check-in. Inside there are 3 cozy bedrooms with air conditioning, a very well-equipped kitchen, outside there is a terrace with sun loungers, tables and chairs and a jacuzzi, from which there is a view of the sea. The facility is located a few minutes from the beach and quite close to Morro Jable.

Wifi worked only in the living room, one of the bedrooms and on the terrace

Perfect location, just few hundred meters to beach and 3 km by car to supermarket.

Nothing

Badly equipped. Broken utensils. Chipped crockery. Uncomfortable bench sofa. Misleading website. Very very dark. Like being in a cave. Totally overlooked. Freezing cold pool. High walls around terrace obscuring seawalls and sun. But worst of all we were verbally and physically abused by the German in the villa above. Owner gave us permission to sit on top steps to see sunset & sea view. German didn’t like it so he turned the hosepipe on us. The owner then renaged permission. We checked out after 3 days. Ghastly ghastly ghastly.

The positives of this accommodation are: the sun terrace (which is huge and gets the sun virtually all day), the private pool (although this wasn't very clean and was VERY cold! It was also in shade all day in January/February), there is a good size main bedroom and main shower room, a large lounge area, Wi-Fi and smart TV.

The negatives are many sadly! The property is in quite an isolated location. There were supposed to be keys in a box awaiting our arrival, but they were not there and we had to wait for the owner to bring them. The interior of the accommodation is very dark & you need lights on all the time. Even with the lights on, the kitchen was very dim and food preparation was difficult. There is no oven. The roof over the eating area outside leaks when it rains. The second bedroom is tiny; the drawers at the bottom of the wardrobe in that room could not be opened due to the end of the bed being so close. The 2nd shower room is also very small, with a tiny wash hand basin, smaller than usual toilet and a shower enclosure missing one of its sliding doors! The kitchen (and indeed most of the house) was overrun with small, pale, ant-like insects which got into everything! Drawers in the fridge were held together with Sellotape. Most of the furniture and equipment was old and in need of replacement. Sheets on our bed had holes in them. During our 14 day stay we had around 10 power cuts due to a fuse tripping repeatedly. Although there is a fuse board in the main bedroom, the fuse which tripped and had to be reset was located outside near the pool (no fun trying to find that in the pitch dark in the early hours of the morning!). Although this was reported to the owner each time it happened, it was not resolved during our stay. He insisted it had never happened before, but some previous reviews mention this, so it clearly has! Hot water for all 3 properties on the site is supplied by solar power. To be more accurate, it's NOT supplied!! In the whole 2 weeks I managed one hot shower; the rest were lukewarm at best. To make matters worse, you have to run the tap/showerhead for 5 to 10 minutes before it even starts to warm up - a colossal waste of clean water. The accommodation was cleaned once, on day 6 , with a change of bedding and towels.

very private and quiet. Enough space, quite everything that needed, is available.

Can’t make here any complaints.
