The location and being immersed in an old building in the heart of the old town

It was difficult to figure out the key system. Downloading an app, registering then figuring out the instructions in Spanish a real challenge

We were a group of friends and we arrived in Santiago after completing the Camino Portuguese. The apartment is a town house spread over 3 floors. There are five double bedrooms, two bathrooms, well equipped kitchen with washing machine and a separate seating / dining area. The location is in the heart of the old town very close to the tourist information office, bars and cafes and a 2 minute walk from the Cathedral in one direction and alameda park in the other direction. It was within walking distance from the train and bus station too. Tip: We used a bag transfer service (Correos), they were unable to deliver to the address but arranged for us a small extra cost to have them delivered to their post office nearby where we could leave them until 20.00hrs This was great and we left our daypacks and poles there too whilst we visited the Cathedral and got our compostelas from the pilgrim office. It was nice to do a bit of sightseeing hands free until we were able to check in from 16.00hrs. We had a short last day of walking so this worked out perfectly for us.

If you're injured after the camino, there are a lot of stairs even before you get to the floor of the first set of bedrooms. One of the beds was broken and propped up with a box which collapsed when somone sat on the bed! Access through the app was tricky at first but we once we had figured it out - we actually loved it. 10 people able to access the place without disturbing others meant we could all come and go as we pleased. There was noise in the street till very late - but that's the cost of staying in the city centre at the weekend!

A lot of stairs and bathrooms could have been cleaner and towels very old and worn.

Great location at the old town. For pilgrims like us it is so convenient getting to the Cathedral. Supermarket is near by and there are many eateries available. Fast wifi connection.

The kitchen sink though big is shallow and the water drains out slow.

The property is really quirky in the old part of Town very close to everything - Cathedral, Restaurants - 8 minutes walk to the station. It is a converted old building on five floors and definitely the place to stay in Santiago as you get the best of all worlds. It has 5 bedrooms, a dining room, two bathrooms and a large kitchen. Just lovely.

Nothing really it is was I expected from a central Town location

Great property, loved the location, and the customer service was amazing! We left a pillow there and they worked with us to get it back. We will definitely stay again!
