La Morada (Gran Alacant)

Apartment was nicely decorated with everything you’d need for a short or long break

Water tank for hot water is small, so struggled for a family of four to all have a hot shower

We had a fantastic stay! The property was very clean, and the host was incredibly nice and approachable. Their hospitality added a delightful touch to our overall experience. Highly recommended!

Walk to beach

It was very clean. We were able to check in later than we should. Owner gave us manu information about the place. Wifi was great, about 300mbps. There was a grocery store nearby.

Airconditioner is on first floor, bedrooms have only fans. Because of this dining room was cold while bedrooms too hot to sleep/sit. There was not enough toilet paper and ony one dishwasher tablet, when we said that to the owner they said they worked in family and didn't offer hotel services.

Beautiful, clean place. Nice neighborhood, close to the beach, good contact with host, everything was perfect.

The property is secure, clean, extremely well equipped and well located. We are already planning our return. Extremely good value for money. Communication between the owner was warm and informative. Shops and restaurants on your doorstep. We took the public bus to Santa Pola (from right outside the door) for 2.50 return and then the ferry out to Tabarca Island. We also walked to the beach from the apartment, 15 minutes walk down a steep hill, getting back up is more challenging but we managed and had a lovely day. There is a community bus but we opted to walk and it is doable. All in all we had a wonderful 4 days and would highly recommend this property.

To clarify: We never stayed in La Morada. We had booked Casa Ilda and La Morada separately - starting with a bigger apartment and then downsizing later in the week as some of the group left after 1 week. However, the hosts contacted us and, as they fortuitously owned both properties, offered for us to stay in Casa Ilda for the full duration rather than swap between accomodations. This, for us, was far more convenient and we promptly agreed. La Morada looked great though, a bijou apartment with a funky vibe nestled in the same complex as Casa Ilda. As it stands, though, we never got the chance to stay there. Next time we visit Alicante we will endeavour to book it though, as we will not have as many people in the group. Reference the reviews of Casa Ilda to get some idea of the pros and cons of the area. The hosts were splendid people; multilingual, super accommodating.

Perfect base to explore the area, great transport links. The apartment was great value for money and is exactly as described. The host Leticia was very helpful and responsive. Would definitely stay here again
