Casa Vell de Valldemossa

A very peaceful location in the town giving excellent access to the mountain paths and the town’s facilities. The bus service to Soller and Palma makes it a great place to use asa base in the mountains.

Claudia met us at the house. We were quite late due to flight delays, but she stayed on there until we arrived.

The courtyard was tiny, and although adequate, the sunshine didn't reach it so there was no sunny place to sit and relax. The village didn't have anywhere either so it meant sitting in lots of cafes, eating cake and drinking coffee ! There were roadworks outside the house (8am start with a jackhammer each day) but the workmen were very polite and the work was necessary. Next door's guests were pre-warned, and that might have been a good idea for us. We still would have stayed there but a tip-off would have been welcome. The work should be finished this month (Sept 24).

I cannot express enough how thrilled I was when I entered this lovely place. The house is like from a fairy tale. It is very comfortable with all needed equipment (and even more). You can feel that somebody (the owner) put her/his soul into equipping and decorating the house, so many charming details ... The place is very spacious, with very big comfy bed, big walk-in shower, very spacious closet with plenty of hangers, drawers, ... The kitchen is fully equipped with not only basic accessories but with everything you can think of. The air-conditioning was working perfect. The lady who welcomed us was very nice, she showed us the house and explained everything we needed to know. The location is in the middle of charming Valldemossa, very quiet though.
