Casa Rural La Antigua

The host, Juan, was very friendly and could not have been more helpful. He also picked me up from and dropped me off at the airport. The house was clean with all mod cons but retained a lovely sense of tradition. Casa Antigua, like most town houses, has a ground floor with bathroom, a first floor with a sizeable kitchen, a second floor with a sitting room and a bedroom with annexe at the top. Some town houses only have a bathroom on the ground floor but Casa Antigua has the luxury of a toilet at bedroom level. There are good bedside reading lights and each flight of stairs is well lit. The bed was comfortable. The house is a 10 to 15 minute walk to the Plaza and the slopes are quite do-able. Chelva is idyllic. It's like going back in time. There is a wet fish shop, a butcher, several bakeries, a handful of convenience stores and other odd shops.They open early and close at 2p.m. Some reopen around 6. There is a bar in the Plaza and a few others scattered around. Restaurants are mostly only open until 2 p.m but some double as bars in the evening. Don't forget the trip to the summit for a good overview of the countryside and to the aqueduct. Walks are abundant. I really enjoyed my stay in Casa Antigua and Chelva.

I didn't like leaving. I could easily have stayed longer.

La casa, es una vivienda antigua, tradicional, muy bien reformada, cómoda y bien ubicada., con una cocina bien equipada. y el baño en planta baja bien acondicionado.

El canapé de la cama matrimonial, tenía algunas lamas ausentes, y hubo que reubicar las existentes. Al ser una casa en tres niveles, puede resultar un tanto incómodo el tránsito por las escaleras.

La casa tiene mucho encanto. Se nota que han querido guardar al máximo la estética tradicional. Me gustó que hubiese wc en la planta de arriba.

La casa muy acogedora y limpia, el que acepten a mascotas para mi lo es todo, (se portó muy bien 😃), juanjo mucha paciencia, y nos atendió muy bien, explicando como llegar a la casa. Sitio para aparcar, con facil acceso a la carretera principal

Las escaleras, casi muero cuando veo el ultimo tramo 😁.
