The Welcome Cave

We were very excited to stay in a cave house and we were not disappointed. The cave rooms were cool and comfortable in a hot summer. The village is lovely and Brian is super helpful.

The place is authentic. We were looking for that....

If you have never stayed in a cave this could bei your Moment. Thr place ist Special and we missed nothing. The Host was very friendly too and ist Just around the corner. Exzellent value for Money.

Beautiful cave house, well presented and cosy on a cold January night. Hosts couldn't do enough for us. Welcome bottle of wine, tasters of home made jams and chutneys, can't wait to go back.

I liked everything about it, including the local bar.

Brian is a superhost. He is very friendly and will do everything in his power to make your stay comfortable. You have everything you need in the cave and we had a bottle of wine and many cakes as a welcome present. The surrounding of Freila is stunning.

Sleeping in a cave was a new experience but there are no wiindows (ofcourse not) and it has a low ceiling. It can make you make feel a liittle claustrofobic.

We originally chose the Welcome Cave because of the price, but once there we found it offers all the luxury you can ask for, and the host truly makes people feel welcome and took good care of us. It's a beautiful place in a good location with a stunning view, and we're definitely going back there as soon as we can.

The owners and the place rock.....they took perfect care of us and we felt AT HOME from first second on......

We made a last minute booking due to a failed/cancelled stay in Baza. The hosts were fabulous and very helpful with directions to restaurants. The place was clean and beautifully presented and full of character. Lots of goodies were left too.

The hot water took forever to heat up so that only one of us ended up with a hot shower.
