We enjoyed staying at Casa Mariposa. We found the house spacious, peaceful with fine views over La Playa de Santiago. The roof terrace is especially impressive and well equipped; it was a real sun-trap. The beds were comfortable and the Wi-Fi worked well. We did not have car, so we were pleased to find that the bus-stop is nearby. There is also a small bakery and supermarket within walking distance. Before arriving, we were concerned that it might be located too far away from the town and beach. We found that we actually enjoyed walking down to the beach which took us about 40 minutes at a leisurely pace. We subsequently opted for the bus ride back from the town, which was reasonably priced.

There are not enough electric sockets in the kitchen area so that we had to plug in electric kettle using an extension lead. Some improvement to kitchen equipment is required - particularly a bigger electric kettle that has a detachable base, better cooking knifes and a bread knife.
