El Loft

Ein wirklicher toller Ort an dem man sofort entschleunigen kann. Die Lage und der Ausblick sind fantastisch. Wir haben uns sofort sehr wohl gefühlt.

El Loft is in a Stunning location with views to the ocean. There are Beautiful ocean and volcano hikes from the house. Adorable San Juan beach is a 5 min walk . Exceptionally peaceful property with privacy. Large windows with amazing views when weather ( wind) keeps you inside. Very comfortable bed. Super equipped kitchen with views. This was an absolutely beautiful place to stay and we cooked most nights because of this. However, there are plenty of places to eat in Famara and we loved the Lucky Loser Mexican bar / restaurant. There are many restaurants also short drives away from Famara. Famara is a sleepy, surfer vibe town .. we loved it. And yet we were always happy to be back at El Loft . Easy day trips to anywhere on an island with a car. Barbara, our host , was extremely welcoming and was always there if we needed as she lives next door. ( we didn’t need anything) . Despite the very unusual cold, windy rainy weather that Lanzarote has been having for a couple of months , we had an amazing time. Thank you so much Barbara!!

Nothing. Just to suggest to other people if you are thinking of doing a lot of self catering it is worth shopping at larger supermarkets in Arrecife before arriving as the 3 local supermarkets have very little and no meat or fish .. however only about 25 mins to Arrecife. If needed.

Friendly, helpful, and immediately available host [the rental is attached to her home], gifted a bottle of Rioja and a jug of water. Thank you, Barbara, for renting your home and for your hospitality! The kitchen had most things we needed. Appreciated having a salad spinner and stainless steel pans. Beds comfortable. Pull down darkening shades in the bedroom and loft. Dedicated parking space by the unit. The location is gorgeous and quiet, but the rental needs improvement, especially at this price. I was not aware that the rental is attached to the host's home. Did not feel private. The bathroom window opens into her backyard. On the other side of host's home is her other rental. Occasionally, campers [they park along the road] wander through the area in front of the unit.

As a frequent traveler and renter of homes, I read every review carefully. Thus, I truly hope these honest comments help both the Booking.com community and the host. The host had some workmen on site when we arrived, so you may want to inquire about the status of the repairs and upgrades before booking. Water enters the kitchen when it rains. The lighting and outlets need work. It is very dim at night. No screens on windows, which you must open since there is no AC. Lots of flies and a few bees entered. The bedroom, which appears to be an add-on to the host's garage, is quite musty, and the smell seems to emanate in part from the armoire. [It is likely in the wall, ceiling, etc.] No amount of cleaning solution covers over that smell, but it seems they tried. We emptied the dehumidifier twice daily [lots of moisture in that room], but that didn't help the mold fumes. There were so many issues with electricity and lighting [outlets and lights broken] that host felt the need to tour us through every room upon arrival to show us what did work. The art in the unit is rather creepy: looks like red and black faces. I wish I had noticed this in the photos prior to booking. l actually had nightmares. The stove is glitchy. The host mentioned she plans to replace. For the price, this unit would be better with AC, a washer/dryer combo machine [there is room to add to the kitchen], improved lighting, and fix the master bedroom so there is no mold and to remove the big step down into that room. Consider adding an air purifier to the bedroom. Only 2 rolls of toilet tissue for 2 people x5 days. No paper towels, just one kitchen towel. With no washer, one needs paper towels. This is an inexpensive item to provide travelers. Just for reference, the island was far too windy [25+ mph] to utilize the patio during our stay. We are non-smokers, but we noted she does allow smoking outside the unit. No extra blankets provided.

We had an amazing stay. The house is well equipped, located in a gorgeous place and is all in all both stylish and comfortable. The beds are very high quality and the house all in all conforming to the photos and description, so we were very comfortable.
