Casa La Terraza

The location was incredible, first we thought we should have booked in a more touristic area like Valle Gran Rey, but during our visit there we realized that we had the greatest luck to stay in this apartment that was very clean, and perfectly enough for 2-3 people.

Maria is an exceptional host. Very attentive. The garden is beautiful, and the surroundings are breathtaking. Quiet village in the middle of the mountains.

We really liked the hostess, Maria. She was very friendly and chatted in Spanish a lot. She gave us fruit and picked a large ripe avocado from her tree especially for us. The apartment was in the valley and had splendid views of the mountains around Vallehermosa. It was like a little green oasis in the town as it had a lovely little garden where we could sit. It was very private as we had the garden to ourselves. We had a happy few days staying there.

Maria was a delightful host and the apartment is well set up and in a brilliant location in the middle of the beautiful town of Vallehermoso, with an amazing view.

This is a great choice for visiting Vallehermoso. It is right next to the bus stop and the central square, it is a fully private apartment with access to the garden. There is a view towards the towering Roque Cano from the garden. The apartment is well equipped with everything you need for a short or a long stay, and it even has some excellent books about La Gomera. The owners were forthcoming and we easily arranged our check in and check out, otherwise we did not meet them, even though they live in the upper parts of the building. We had a nice bowl of fruit waiting for us when we arrived. And we were visited by very friendly cats from upstairs.

If you're booking Casa la Terraza, you should consider that what makes this apartment great might also be an obstacle for you. The bathroom is right next to the apartment, but is not connected to the living area, so you need to go out to get there (it is still fully private). Also, the apartment is practically in the garden, which extends towards a stream (you can hear the stream, it is behind the fence, and you cannot see it from the bushes), and that means there will be a few insects at night. We didn't mind these and we're happy to stay here again, but if you have problems with these, you better know it in advance.

Great location in the centre of town with lots of local walking options and bus routes to other parts of the island, the town is lively with several restaurants, supermarkets and bars. Apartment was very quiet depite being so central.

A basement apartment it was quite small with low ceilings, bathroom is located nextdoor requiring a trip outside via the terrace. Bedroom got rather hot and stuffy even in December, so I kept the windows open at night.
