I love guesthouses like this, owned by a small local family business in the Finnish countryside. Idyllic lakeside location, wood-fired sauna, fireplace, terrace. Despite the fact that the cottage is not brand new, you can see that the owners take good care of it, so that the guests have everything they need for their stay.

A somehow unpleasant surprise for the children in the morning was three wasps on the window in the living room. Maybe they have a nest somewhere in the attic and are gradually coming into the house from there, I don't know. The owners may pay attention to this, even though it is not in their direct control :)

The lake next to the cottage was super.

The toilet and sauna were so old.

Simple cabin that was cool despite hot weather. Had all amenities for simple life. Mobile network had ok speed.

As a solo business traveller, I am not the target audience, so lack of breakfast option and no wifi were the biggest drawbacks. For business travellers a hotel like pricing including linen, cleaning, and (takeaway) breakfast would be nice.
