secret cottage

This little flat is brilliantly centrally located in Sedbergh, and extremely well equipped, cosy and comfortable (also very nicely designed).

I found the property hard to locate but that was my fault for not seeing the photos provided by the host on booking.com. The only problems were with the two TVs; the main one had a constantly intermittent (flickering) signal which made most channels unwatchable, and the TV in the bedroom had no sound and a remote that didn't work. Both fixable! Not fixable is that the flat is a little dark.

Beautiful decor inside and quirkiness. Clean, well equipped and quality furnishings. Interesting courtyard.

Entrance passageway with overflowing bins and bottles. Bedroom TV not working. Downstairs TV had no signal on most freeview channels apart from BBC. Spiral staircase is disconnected as you go into the bedroom and needs attention. The lock on the bedroom window overlooking the courtyard had a faulty window lock.

Cozy, clean and comfortable cottage. Appreciated extras like shampoo & conditioner and dishwasher tablets.

Minor point, would have preferred an extra arm chair or padded cushion on window.

It’s a little walk away for parking - if you struggle on your feet then it’s probably not the best option for you.

The cottage was decorated beautifully and in a perfect location for all the shops etc.

The dishwasher had dirty dishes in it when we arrived. The cottage could do with a good clean. The throw and cushions on the sofa were grimy and dirty and need to be washed more regularly. Also the bed linen didn’t feel clean. Brushed cotton not the best choice for a holiday cottage. Better outside lighting would be good as it was very dark coming in to the yard at nighttime.

Centrally located, had everything we needed for a night. Thoughtfully included a dog bed and treats. All the essentials like shampoo, tea bags etc, generously provided.

Both TVs didn’t really work. WiFi signal was poor.

Very cute little cottage, easy to find and great facilities. The location was fantastic, lots of nice little shops and cafes. Great location for walks in the countryside. Loved the cottage and would definitely come again in the future.
