Rockingham House Uxbridge

The layout of the property was nice with 3 large double rooms and one small single bedroom. The kitchen was large and the lounge had good seating, the utensils and Crockery provided were very good.

The property had some mould issues in the bathroom and the garden was not well kept or fit for use. The shower had very poor pressure and did not regulate the temperature very well. The dishwasher did not clean sufficiently and one of the bedroom doors did not close or have a lock that worked for privacy.

The house is located in a quiet area but close to transport links and places to eat. When we arrived the bin men had left rubbish strewn all over the front of the house so we had to clear it before we could park the car. On entering the house, there was an unpleasant smell of stale cigarette smoke, even though it was a non-smoking property. The owner came to take the rubbish away and said that the previous visitors had not obeyed the rules. Perhaps they had been confused by the ash tray in the kitchen? There was no plug for the kitchen sink so washing up was difficult. The curtains in the downstairs bedroom were hanging off the runners. The radiator in the single bedroom was broken and unusable. The house was generally in need of some TLC.

A few areas of the house had damage to the walls/floor. But nothing major.

Nothing. The house was a multi occupancy property, ie a student house.

It wasn’t clean and smelt bad. I was repeatedly bitten by bugs. There was cigarette ash on floor when we arrived. Wifi based tv didn’t work. One shower couldn’t maintain constant temp. Overall shocking. I doubt the top room in attic was fire complaint.

Extremely poor condition stains on beds, walls and ceiling, broken cupboards water leaks cooker was leaking grease fridge freezer totally frozen unable to use totally frozen the place was uninhabitable did not stay at the property had to book alternative accommodation still awaiting refund for booking and the return of my deposit for damage insurance took multiple pictures and forwarded them to host who then accused me of harassment took 70 + pictures
