Parkside, The Loch Ness Cottage Collection

Lovely cottage that is well maintained and super clean. The kitchen had everything that we needed. Very quiet location and we appreciated the excellent quality of towels and linen.

Beautiful big house and spotlessly clean with everything you need for a lovely stay.

Didn't like the big heavy duvet, far to hot. Would have liked the option of a lighter duvet but that's personal choice.

Stunning house and gardens, couldn’t have asked for better, Welcome Basket very thoughtful, every little detail like the Scottish Soap Company soaps are a credit to how much attention to detail has been given , shop and cafe on site along with facility to use cruise boats, hop on hop off bus stop too

Location. Location. Location. Just wow! Couldn’t get closer to Loch Ness. The cottage was delightful. Well appointed. Luxurious decor and very comfortable. Loved the log fire. The provisions on arrival were a nice touch.

The decoration and cosiness of the property fantastic. The location was in a quite little section of the docking area. Very secure and safe.

We were here when storm Amy hit. We lost power within 2 hours of checking in. The house alarm sounded, and we had no idea how to turn it off. After finding 2 emergency torches, we were able to disengage it. The power was still off the following morning. Even though we'd left the fridge door closed to preserve coolness, our food from the supermarket had spoilt and medication that needed refrigeration was starting to get warm. We contacted the owner and asked he deliver more batteries for the torches and if he knew when the power was coming back on. He offered for us to buy coffee from a food van up the road and said he'd deliver the batteries first thing that morning. We walked down to the coffee van to gain more info about the power outage, 3 guys in a van and no one knew when the power was going back on. We also asked again for the batteries. We decided to leave for the day and go somewhere for warm food and coffee. Before we returned, in the arvo I emailed asking if the power had come back on and wherewe couldgrab a warm shower. The owner responded saying no and that it could be off for another 2 days. He told us to shower at a nearby pool facility. This was closed so we couldn't. We decided find an alrernate place to stay as medication needed cooling, and we needed to bath our children do a load of washing etc. We left in the evening. We asked for a refund and the owner agreed but asked us to contact booking.com to arrange. Ive done this 2 times but haven't heard back. As tourists we felt quite worried that we didnt have power in a regional area and not knowing what to do in case of an emergency. The property itself is lovely. Its a shame what happened with loss of power for us!

A lovely cottage, ideal for a family holiday. The location was good - near to a good cafe and a departure point for Loch Ness boat trips, and only 5 minutes from Inverness.

There was almost nothing wrong with the property, but the oven took a long time to heat up.
