Wir haben eine Woche im Upper Carlane Court verbracht. Die Unterkunft ist sehr geräumig, geschmackvoll eingerichtet und aussergewöhnlich gut ausgestattet. Die Vermieter sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und haben uns viele Tipps zu Ausflügen in der Umgebung gegeben.

Es gibt nichts, was uns nicht gefallen hat.

We had the most wonderful 11-night stay! The hosts were absolutely amazing – so welcoming, friendly, and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed throughout our time here. The house itself is fabulous, beautifully maintained, and truly felt like a home away from home. Everything you could possibly need was provided, and it was clear that a lot of thought had gone into making the stay as comfortable as possible. The entire place was spotless – so clean and fresh – which made it even more relaxing and enjoyable. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay and would highly recommend this place to anyone. We’ve already booked for next year!

Upside down living but the place was just great.Had everything you would need.Modern decor and kitchen with ample space. This was our first holiday with my 1 yr old grandson.They provided a highchair and stair gates which they put up for our arrival. On site car parking with a charging point,for a small charge,which if you frequent this area is very rare. I was a bit worried with there being 5 adults and just the one bathroom for us all,but there is an outside toilet which proved to be very handy when the bathroom was in use.

There was nothing we didn’t like about the property.What I would say is that the property is quite out of the way and we definitely needed a car to get about.Its quite hilly and the approach by car was at times a bit hair raising as it can be in most Devon villages with the passing places.

Fully stocked kitchen with every single utensil you would need, great amount of space to fit 6 adults and 3 children, Cathy and Michael were great hosts attending to needs very promptly, on arrival, Cathy gave us a tour of the property and amenities and local attractions. Loads of in house activities to keep the little ones at bay including board games, books, puzzles and TV.

Nothing, we liked everything

The location was in a small village which was nice but not for the faint hearted due to the very narrow roads. The big bonus with this property was a designated parking space which was premium within the village. The people who ran both pubs were very welcoming & friendly and the food was good, it was nice to be able to eat out without driving. The property itself was in a good location in the village, lovely views. The house was very comfortabe, comfy beds, good quality bedding & towels , good shower, well equipped kitchen nice little outside courtyard.

The house had a very musty smell which didnt go even when opening the windows. Everytime we came home from a day out it was quite unpleasant. The TV was quite small for the size of the room and we had to rearrange the sofa`s so we coud see it well enough. We were warned about the system for hot water used for the kitchen sink BUT it is very very dangerous. I burned myself on more than one occasion . It could have dire consequences if a young child put their hands under the tap. We feel this is something they really needs to be addressed. It is possibly against regulations and could cause serious harm.

Lovely spacious cottage in a lovely location. The cottage had all the facilities for a great self catering holiday.

There are several cottages adjoining with a shared courtyard. Sadly during our holiday the cottages next to ours with rooms above were let out to a big family with several children. Our holiday was spoilt with constant noise made by the children running up & down above our living room & bedrooms. We could constantly hear the children running about above us. We could hear them having showers, etc. We only got peace when they went to bed & they were up again at 6am. We'd told the owner who'd had word with the family & so did we. However, nothing improved. Luckily, we had good weather, so out most of the day. Overall, it was a shame as we'd booked outside school holidays & didn't expect to be disturbed by noise constantly & it would have been nice to have a lie in. In short, the floors to the other cottages need to be soundproofed & maybe our cottage shouldn't have been let out knowing that there was a large family who'd taken over the other cottages.

I hired 2 properties. Upper Carlane and the Stables. Both net extended family needs. Upper Carlane very good for family gatherings.
