"Perfect location for a great weekend in the countryside"

8.0

The caravan was perfect for a friend and I in the area for a friends wedding at Doxford barns , the village pub was great fun and the regulars were very welcoming. Great view across the fields. Jill the Host met us on arrival with a warm welcome and made sure everything was as expected.

"Great base to explore area!"

10.0

Great location & a great base to get to the beaches along the coast of Northumberland. Grandkids enjoyed it too.

Probably the trains, though did get used to them passing after a few hours.

"Weekend in Northumberland"

10.0

Great location, home from home. Jill and Gary perfect hosts there if needed. Embelton beach could sit there all day and good start for coastal walks north or south.

"Perfect mini break!"

10.0

We had a wedding close by at Newton Hall and the accommodation was ideally situated. Lovely and clean, very spacious! Almost forgot we were in a caravan ☺️ The host Jill was lovely and captured a family photo prior to us attending the wedding, thank you! Beautiful German shepherd roamed the grounds too, super friendly.

The 4am train was slightly alarming on the first night but genuinely got used to them after a while!

"Clean & comfortable. The train line is quite busy but you soon get used to it."

9.0

Very clean & plenty of space. Had almost everything needed for a break away

More storage (drawers / shelves etc for underwear etc) needed as 8 coat-hangers and 1 shelf between 2 adults wasn’t really enough. Also some shelves in the small bedroom for the same reason. Extension leads would have been useful as children have various gadgets that all require power / charging in addition to adults phones / tablets etc. Lastly, a couple of lamps in the living area would have been nice as the big lights are too bright for relaxing of an evening.

"Chapel View Caravan"

9.0

The caravan was clean and tidy and nice and warm with the heating on (at this time of year!). Pretty much as I'd hoped it would be; also generally quiet, with a good view. Great little shower! Jill popped round to check all was ok and she was very friendly and helpful and l felt confident l could contact her if l had any important issues - which l didn't! Really enjoyed my stay thanks, and would definitely return.

I wasn't really troubled by the fast trains passing - l was knew the railway was close before l booked, and they stopped around midnight. However, the noise may not suit some people, especially young children, but such families will no doubt be aware of this if booking a holiday. Just a couple of very minor issues - there was no plastic washing up bowl, and I don't like using the sink directly, so l had to use a large saucepan. And a couple of hand-soap pumps for the kitchen and bathroom would have been great, though not a deal-breaker!
