Ceol Na Mara Cottage by the sea

Next to beach, cute little house but big and cosy inside

Everything I needed, cute, comfortable, nice welcome roses on table.

Lovely cosy traditional cottage, yet with plenty of space, loved all the original features. Excellent location, walking distance to everywhere . Reasonable price.

Not enough mugs, had to rewash them every single time you wanted a hot drink. No welcome pack, not even basics such as spare bin bags, tin foil or olive oil. Towels need replacing, like sandpaper. And the single bed in twin room plays a tune every time you move on it, very squeaky. Happy to pay a dog fee, however this is very unclear on the listing, owner not impressed when they saw we had a dog and was wanting paid immediately. We run a bed and breakfast on the west coast of the Highlands and wouldn't dream of charging our guests for the use of a highchair or travelcot.

Location and character

The property was clean, tidy and well equipped with everything we needed for our trip.

The only downside was the narrow streets and limited parking beside the property. It did have designated parking spaces which was great but they were very tight for space.

We loved the property, perfect for a few days away with the family visiting my son. Would definitely recommend and book again in future.

Near the sea, large kitchen, decent living room

Small double bed. There is room for a queen and it would be money well spent. They ask you to strip the bed when paying 137 pounds a night yet the heat was off and the cottage was cold even though they knew our arrival time. Knowing the owner is going to argue every point of my review.
