Chemist's House

This is a fantastic place for a small family holiday. We had a week here with our daughters and we all loved it. Beautiful house, decking and garden. Kitchen equipped with everything you'll need to make a lovely meal. Laundry room downstairs has washer and dryer and ironing board and iron are in kitchen. Plenty of stairs to climb in the house to keep you fit. Chris, the host is lovely to deal with and communication is fantastic.

I'm being picky here because there really isn't anything we didn't like, but if you don't have a car with you, it's quite a steep walk back up from beach and harbour.

The house was comfortable and gave us the space we needed. We loved staying there

Had a wonderful short break in the chemists house (no 27) with my husband, friend and 3 dogs. Fantastic location, all amenities right on the doorstep. This property is on the upper 2 floors, interior of the property is very spacious, big rooms, high ceilings and we loved the original features, furnished and decorated to a high standard. Plenty room to place 3 dog beds without tripping over them. Fantastic views over the beach towards Portnockie from the windows in both the spacious bedrooms. Beautifully maintained garden with a decked area at the rear, which was great for the dogs when the sun shone.

No washing machine. Took a day or too to get used to the sloping ceilings in the bedrooms and small toilet on the top floor. The decking, it’s been laid on top of a metal roof and quite noisy to walk on, not sure if the noise impacts on neighbours.

Very well situated. A lovely spacious house. Chris was very helpful and responsive. We would stay again.

There were only 4 plates/bowls etc which meant we had to wash dishes/run the dishwasher more often. Further house instructions would have been helpful (ie where to find the washing machine, check out instructions) but very much an enjoyable visit.

We had a fab week in Chemists House which was spacious, clean and comfortable. The outdoor area was a huge bonus as the weather was lovely all week so we spent a lot of time outdoors. Very handy for local shops, we got parked at door, We slept very well as bed was very comfortable, lots of storage space in bedroom.. We also appreciated the washing machine in utility room under the decking, got all our laundry done and dried in the sunshine, no dirty washing to take home! Some amazing sunsets watched from bedrooms.. We met Chris the owner who was friendly and helpful... We would come back anytime!

Location excellent. Bed in main bedroom very comfortable.

No washing machine or tumble dryer as stated. No anti slip mat in bath. No sharp knives for food preparation. Only 3 bowls for house that accommodates 4. Mattress in second bedroom too hard. Iadies razor found in shower caddy.

Location is fantastic, property is clean and comfortable. Nice big garden and decking area.

Not much to dislike. Its a period property, so upstairs where the bedrooms are have low ceilings, ok if you're under 5'10, taller people need to stoop a bit.
