Pas d'accueil, mais un boîte à clés. La maison propose de belles chambres, mais certaines pièces sont fermées à clés, donc inaccessibles. Le configuration des pièces fait que cette maison dispose de 5 salles de bains, pour 5 chambres, mais la propriétaire préfère fermer des salles de bain et demander aux clients de partager les salle de bains. Nous étions 8 couples, pour 4 chambres et 3 salles de bain, alors qu'il est évident vu la configuration que deux autres salles de bain étaient fermées. Les contacts avec la propriétaire ne sont pas faciles car les réponses sont longues et ne répondent pas aux questions. Quand on demande si la maison dispose d'un barbecue, on ne répond pas à la question. Côté équipement de la cuisine, la vaisselle est de piètre qualité. Il n'y a qu'une poêle inutilisable tellement elle est vétuste et dans un état hygiénique désastreux. Pas de torchons,, 4 capsules de café mais pas de cafetière, bref un équipement pas en rapport avec le prix de la location qui est quand même plus chère qu'un hôtel. Beaucoup de placard, mais pratiquement tous vide sans équipement. Le chauffage est géré à distance par la propriétaire. A 23H00, j'ai envoyé un message pour dire qu'il faisait très froid dans toute la maison et elle a alors allumé le chauffage à distance. Il faisant 8 degrés dehors et environ 17 degrés dedans. Une fois le chauffage allumé par la propriétaire, la chaleur était bonne. Lorsque l'on loue sa maison à ce prix (1891 € pour 2 nuits), on doit se poser la question de savoir si les prestations proposées correspondent au prix. Visiblement la question ne s'est pas posée pour la propriétaire, qui par deux fois nous a envoyé un mail demandant de quitter la maison de bonne heure car il lui faut 6 heures de nettoyage ensuite. C'est une façon spéciale de traiter ses clients.

The property was a very disappointing experience overall. The biggest issue was the beds, which were by far the most uncomfortable I have slept in. I did not sleep either night and ended up with a sore back for days afterward. For the amount of money spent, one would expect at least a reasonable level of comfort, but the bedding alone made the stay unpleasant. To make matters worse, a breaker tripped somewhere in the house and we were unable to reset it, leaving the refrigerator, toaster, and appliances unusable. Attempts to contact the host for help went unanswered. There were also several misleading or impractical aspects of the property. While the listing did state that washers were available, it did not clarify that there was no dryer. Having two washers but no dryer made no sense, and it left us having to hand-dry clothes, something we did not anticipate when booking. Additionally, the showers were so small they were nearly unusable. At 5’9” and thin, I found it very uncomfortable to shower, especially with decent-size bathrooms. The exterior and property conditions were equally disappointing. A storm had passed a few days prior, leaving trash and recyclables scattered around the yard. This debris was never cleaned up during our stay and blew around constantly, creating an unpleasant atmosphere. While the view from the home was one of its few redeeming features, the rest of the environment was not maintained to an acceptable standard. Adding to the frustration, we learned only after arriving that we could have booked just three rooms and had the others shut down, which would have saved money. That information was not made clear leaving us feeling taken advantage of. In all my years of traveling, I rarely leave negative reviews maybe only once before, but this property warranted one. The lack of comfort, misleading details, poor communication, and poor value left me very disappointed. I wish I had not stayed here, or had some financial offset issues noted.

The location was lovely but more could be done to help visitors get to the correct place on the first try. The kitchen was large and well stocked. The location was remote yet not far from all that we wanted to see.

The key's were in the opposite box than was described but we were able to get to them. A dryer REALLY would be a good idea. We took advantage of your washers on our first day but, due to rainy, damp weather, we were packing up VERY damp clothes 3 days later. We had issues with the hot water availability.

It was very comfortable and suited our needs

La casa è molto ampia (5 camere e 3 bagni). È abbastanza ben tenuta nel complesso, soprattutto i bagni sembrano nuovi. La posizione è ottima, a circa 10 minuti da Portree.

La pulizia può essere migliorata (in doccia ho trovato dei capelli) e in generale si avvertiva un po’ un senso di approssimazione. Il costo in generale mi è sembrato elevato! Infine, ho trovato un po’ eccessive le richieste dello staff in fase di procedura check-out: in particolare, quella di togliere le lenzuola ai letti… è vero che non si tratta di un hotel, ma credo che non faccia parte dei compiti degli ospiti.

Good location near Portree

Dirty in multiple places (floor and kitchen). Unsafe bathroom (bath not fixed to the floor) and a broken toilet seat. Oven was broken (host knew about it but did not warn us nor offered to make up for it). The host did not bother to visit the property, just offered excuses. The property is very tired, especially the ground floor and the back garden. When we got there we thought it must have been the wrong place.

Loved the location!

The appliances were very old and hard to light. We were expecting more updated appliances and needed a coffee press.
