A beautiful house in an excellent location in Sandown. We travelled with my 2 children 11 and 7 years old and my parents who are in their 70’s. Stella was an excellent host, making sure we had everything we needed including local recommendations in the area and staying on later to meet us on arrival after our ferry was nearly 3 hours delayed. The house was absolutely perfect- spotless and spacious, ideal for a family stay, 2 large bedrooms, and the 3rd with two good sized twin beds, All of which were extremely comfortable. Beautiful furnishings old fireplaces throughout, and a well equipped kitchen. The location is set back from the beach , but only a 5 minute walk from the golden sands. Great for sandcastles and running in and out of the sea with surfboard’s. Although Sandown is a little rundown with a few closed hotel properties, there are some fab cafes on the beach serving great flat whites, salads, sandwiches etc along with beach shops . The house also has a coop and a sainsbury’s within walking distance from the property. You can walk to Shanklin from the house or jump on the bus right outside. We were sad that we didn’t book for longer and would highly recommend Sea Proche for a beach escape in a lovely home .
