Granary Cottage Luxury Barn Conversion

This is a beautiful traditional and peaceful Cottswold cottage which has been nicely renovated and had a nice feel about it. The host is very responsive if you need anything.

Suggestions: given the price point, it would be nice to have toiletries in the bathrooms and extra toilet paper especially for a family of 4. The shops aren't very close so it would be nice to have these included. Also, bedrooms upstairs get quite hot so would be more comfortable to have some air con or at least a fan (we were there when it was 30 degrees). Mattress in master bedroom wasn't very comfortable. Netflix app was not on the tv and we were told the day before check in. The check in times are too late and too early. Check in 4pm and check out 10am. It was very difficult to find this property and we ended up checking in even later (which isn't ideal with a property at this price point). Thankfully they let us check out 1 hour later as we had a big day of travelling and did not wish to get up super early. You need to pay a bond for damages which you don't find out until after you have paid for your stay. I was not happy about this. Parking - it is very tight. Someone was parked in our spot the whole time during our stay if 2 nights. We had to park in someone else’s spot after reporting this to host. Cleaning -bathrooms weren't that clean. Toilet was not flushed from previous guest and kitchen was not that clean either - crumbs on table from previous guest. Lastly, there are way too many rules.… empty bins & take rubbish out, wash dishes and put them away etc… it was a long list if rules and I did not feel like I was on holidays. I'm basically doing the cleaner’s job.

Lovely property close to natural beauty and hiking trails. Highly recommend this property and hope to return one day soon. Recommendation for those not from Europe or reliant on cell phone service: request and download/print out exact address and details a day prior, as there is very limited cellular service in the area (wifi provided in the cottage). Address on Expedia says Chipping Campden (very close by), but it's actually a cute village outside of CC.

Fantastic property with everything you need for your stay, nice quiet location within a short drive to most of the Cotswold attractions. We would definitely stay again.
