Hedgerow Lodge with Hot Tub

kitchen was stunning and fully equipped. felt really homely. super clean and easily accessible to local village pubs and takeaways.

shower head didnt sit properly in the ensuite and the blind in the ensuite doesn’t shut. bed could do with a mattress topper you can feel every spring in it.

Spacious nice looking interior eg kitchen and living room - plenty of seating and worktop. Nice to have 2 bathrooms.

The double mattress and pillows didn't have protectors on. The double mattress was ridiculously uncomfortable you can feel all the springs - we ended up putting the duvet on the mattress for some 'padding' and using the single duvets to cover us. Even this was still uncomfortable and we barely slept, so the next night we used the 2 single beds and we only stayed 2 nights out of we'd 3 booked. I went round to reception to complain - no-one there. I rang the number on my welcome details twice - no answer. I left a voicemail - no-one called me back. I emailed the property, no reply. I sent a letter of complaint to the Park head office, no-one got in touch. I eventually spoke to the managing director of the Parks 2 weeks later who was nice but still hasn't come back to me re any refund. Booking.com were very nice about it but they couldn't get the owner to offer a partial refund that was all I was wanting. Location not good for strolling in the country as there are no footpaths. Park is uninteresting and featureless. Decking is looking a bit old.

Fantastic place to stay. Compliments to the grounds keeper when we was leaving on the morning of my wedding we had a pleasant conversation with him and he was very polite definitely recommend here for a break away and will definitely be returning ourselves in the near future.
