Loved everything.

Really big spacious house, we were three couples staying for the weekend Honestly everyone loved it! We had our own rooms/ own bathroom Not too far away from the city House was really nice and clean and equipped with everything we needed for the weekend stay

It was self check in - we arrived and found the key and then the alarm went off We couldn’t contact the owners for a while

The location is stunning. The home was so warm and spacious. Kitchen has all u need to cook. Everything w as shinning

The house itself is described as luxurious. It has a shower in each bedroom with the exception of one. One has a bath with hand held shower . I brought my elderly parents with me as this is a great time to spend together and have used many other homes for this experience. The home does have underfloor heating in parts. It has real wooden floors which squeeked and moved especially where the heating was and solid wood furnishings. The beds are warm and comfortable and the home was dust free and clean. The living room/dining area is all in one making it an open feel but was still small. It is at top of an elevated hill and that is shown in the pictures, but the pictures don't do this hill justice. It is the side of a mountain and is steep. It has cooking facilities, plates, pots, pans etc.

What it lacked - the beds were very low. My elderly parents struggled with this. The TV is not Internet ready so my dad could not watch his programmes on his dongle. The Internet was extremely poor. More often not connecting to anything. I did send an email to the owners asking for help and I received a phone number to contact Pat. I had already sent a message to the mobile. Number and said he was welcome to call anytime. No call ever came. Maybe the Internet connection was that poor he didn't receive it. The home lacked things like liquid to wash dishes or use the dishwasher. Not even a drop of milk to welcome guests. All said if you are looking for a clean home away from civilisation and Internet this is the place for you. For me this was 4 days that i struggled with. We left a day early it was that bad. I can only compare this home to other homes that I have stayed in and because of this I would say this is not value for money. It is dated and needs modernisation. With a bit of love and thought for guests it could be a great get away. A welcome hamper and little home comforts go a long way.

We arrived for a 4 person stay away, in a quiet area. We found the property easily enough, thank you google maps! We couldn’t believe the warmth, homely feeling off the cottage. The rooms were outstanding in cleanliness, size, with bathrooms, walk in wardrobes, and so much storage. The kitchen was overly equipped, enough of cups, plates, bowls etc. the host was a pleasure to deal with, out going, welcoming, very quick at responding. The views outside were absolutely fantastic, the photos we got outside as a group were next to none. Absolutely loved this place. We plan to visit again in just a few shorts weeks.

Nothing we didn’t like. However if it had of had a hotub with shelter this place would have that little extra feel to it

Absolutely fabulous house. Nicely decorated, spacious, clean, 3 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. Comfy beds, good kitchen, fully equipped, comfortable dining and living area. There were 4 of us but the house could easily host 6. Lovely outdoor area with large table to hang out and watch the sunset over the mountain. The house is private and quiet with the most amazing views of the coutryside and surrounded by trees at the back. The nearest pub is a walking distance and we took advatage of that of course. There are many lovely hikes around the area too. Pat, the owner, who we stumbled upon when checking in, was a gentleman and his awesome donkey Mick was always nearby ready to devour some carrots. We enjoyed our time and would love to come back!

On the day of arrival I've sent a message on booking.com and texted the mobile number provided in the booking but never heard back. I tried calling too but there was no answer. We did not know how to check in, info was not provided in advance, and only thanks to the owner who happened to be around the property when we arrived, we could actually get into the house. Not great communication. Also we did not appreciate the housekeeper's unannounced visit on the second day. It felt like an inspection. I was asked if everything is to our liking, which it was. But this question could have been asked over the phone. I understand that the hosts may need or want to see the guests perhaps but please do so at check in or check out, not in the middle of the stay when all the guests want is to relax in peace. Or at the very least give headsup before coming. I was actually taking a well deserved afternoon nap when the doorbell rang. The housekeeper was lovely but the visit was not appreciated and something we haven't experienced before in any of the dozens of airbnbs and country houses we stayed in over the years.
