Location right in the heart of the old town was great. Some lovely pubs to enjoy drinks and food. Accommodation very comfortable and clean. All good.

"Could have been very nice, but.."

The location is nice for the proximity to the old town and the seafront. Very convenient.

The twin bed frame in one of the bedrooms was damaged. Unfortunately the couple using that room didn't mention it to me upon check in (they were our guests and didn't want to complain) risulting in the host charging us for it and keeping the security deposit. The host said we damaged it, and we didn't, but there was nobody upon check in/check out to asses, so we had to accept the charge as she had to replace the whole base of the divan bed. There is nothing for the guests, in the kitchen. Very old coffee in one tin, no kitchen roll or essentials like oil etc... Also no toiletries in the bathroom, I think a showergel/soap would have been a nice touch.

"Lovely winter break by the sea."

The cottage is in a very convenient location in the old town, with parking right outside the front door which was great! Maria, the owner, communicated with us throughout the booking process making it all very easy. The cottage was well equipped for a lovely weekend stay with our granddaughter.

Sadly the previous holiday makers had broken the zip and link beds in the second bedroom so we were unable to have tweo large double bedrooms for this stay, only a single bed in the second bedroom.

"A fabulous stay, which was easy to get to in a central location. It was comfortable and with great ameanities."

The central location was minutes from the Stade, Hastings Contemporary museum, the beach and some great shopping streets. It is about a 25 minute walk from Hastings train station or you can jump a bus from the station that takes you there in less than 10 minutes. The house is modern, clean, with comfortable beds and a lovely courtyard garden. If you plan to cook while there the kitchen is well equipped.

There wasn’t any downside.
