"Lovely property in a great seaside location!"

This is a lovely property just a 3 minute walk from the seafront. John took extra care to make sure we had all the local information and that we got into the property without any issues. West Mersea itself is lovely and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The Coast Inn, 5 minutes away provided excellent local catch of the day and there are several providers of seafood in the immediate area. Highly recommended for a relaxing stay.

We had a magical stay over Christmas we had the logs on the fire it was cosy and comfortable . Great location . John was really helpful especially when we needed help with the induction cooker. I fully recommend a stay here .

When we first arrived I thought the kitchen was a bit rustic, but this actually added to the charm of the place once we got familiar with our surrounding

Getting into the property was very easy. Our host gave us recommendations of places to visit and things to do. He was always contactable which was really helpful. Incredible trampoline kept our 2 year old son very happy for the entire week!

A couple of the things in the description were not available (high chair, washing machine) although the host did arrange for his cleaner to do our washing for us and put a washing line up, it would have been nice to have access to the machine ourselves.

"A great celebration weekend."

The house is large & comfortable with many nice touches. Excellent for a family with children. We loved the garden, the bbq and trampoline. All the negative things I have mentioned can easily be rectified.

* The change in check in time on the day which meant that we had to hang around for 2hrs. I also found the key safe very high on the wall of the porch. I am 5ft6 & couldn’t access it. We were not informed of the road closure very close to the house. * The lack of written instructions about the house & details of local shops and other possible interests on the island. * The lack of any hangers & places to store/hang clothes * the kitchen cupboard full of very very old packets of food.. some dating back to 2018
