"Incredible stay with a view of Loch Goil"

10.0

Exceptional location, beautiful views, everything was convenient - internet was great, there was a gorgeous coffee shop only 2 minutes away, the owner left a small booklet detailing walks in the area which we used, there are many close by to go through.

Nothing, everything was set up very well.

"Overall peaceful stay in lovely location"

8.0

Lovely location and quiet despite the cottage having properties on either side of it. Lots of great walks locally and around 1-2hrs drive to most places of interest. Would advise loading up at the asda in Dumbarton before getting to the cottage as we found the local shops on the loch lacking and a bit more expensive. Also, not many places nearby to eat out. We came across coops and Tesco's when out and about during the weeks stay for top ups and tended to eat out during the day when visiting other places.

Nothing can be done but the swarms of midges made it uncomfortable to be outside with the dog for more than ten minutes. We used midge spray which helped with not getting bitten but the poor dog bore the brunt of them. We decided against sitting out on the terrace in the mornings when it was sunny because of them which is a shame, but June to August is when they are most problematic. Luckily the breakfast table has a great view of the loch so you don't miss out too much.

Absolutely stunning location, yards from the Lochside with fantastic opportunities to capture everyday life on the water and surrounding hills.

Leaving, but will be back.
