There are houses you stay in, and there are houses that stay with you. Tyn Y Fron belongs firmly to the latter. From the moment we crossed the threshold, the old house seemed to exhale around us — a period home that wears its years not as weariness but as character, every beam and wall holding a quiet story of its own. The wallpapers were a revelation. Far from mere decoration, they felt like part of the house’s living memory — rich patterns and gentle hues that caught the light differently as the day turned, lending each room its own particular mood. Morning sun and evening lamplight found new things to admire in them, and so did we. The décor throughout was thoughtful in a way that is increasingly rare: nothing accidental, nothing careless, every corner arranged with an affection for the building’s heritage and a genuine understanding of what makes a place feel like home rather than merely a stop along the way. And it was, above all, a home. With a large group to settle, we feared the usual scramble — the missing essentials, the awkward compromises. Instead we found a house that anticipated us. Every facility was present and immaculate, generously provided and lovingly maintained, so that the practical business of living simply dissolved into ease. The warmth of the place was matched only by the warmth of its keeping; one senses the care of owners who treat this not as a property but as something cherished. Set in the leafy heart of Betws-y-Coed, Tyn Y Fron proved the perfect threshold to Snowdonia’s wild beauty. We spent our days among mountains and rivers, and our evenings folding back into the embrace of those characterful rooms, the fire of conversation rising as the light fell. To return each night to such a house was a gift in itself.

Absolutely fantastic house in stunning grounds, a 10 min walk from the centre of Betwys-Y-Coed and only a short drive from Snowdon. Great facilities, clean and welcoming host. Would highly recommend and we will hopefully be back in the future👍

Stunning location, remarkable views and all 6 are en-suite rooms!

A slightly later check out time would have been appreciated, but overall an excellent stay!
