Stylish property, off street parking,pet friendly

The property was clean and comfortable and was within an easy walk of the centre of Bath. Private parking was a definite bonus.

The house and location were really good. But could have been cleaner, bath and shower door were not clean, picture and lights in the kitchen need a clean. Beds and bedding were really good. Loved all the little extras in the cupboard, would definitely stay again.

Just needs attention to cleaning. Also booking. Com said check in at 3pm but host said 4pm.

The interior design was lovely, all the rooms were spacious and the beds were comfy. Nice garden area too.

We really liked the cleanliness, room sizes, bed sizes, contents in the property. We really enjoyed the stay, particularly the second floor bedroom. However please see the cons as well.

The review that I am giving is for 38 South Avenue, Bath. Just at 12.45PM on the day of check-in I received a call saying the property that I booked was not available and that a different one is available nearby. I did a lot of research before booking the particular property considering family comfort, safety etc., However I had to accept a random property over the phone call as I didn't have an option. However, somehow the pictures shown in the advertisement and the rooms in the alternative property that we were given look similar. Having said that, there are some real concerns that we had during our stay. The stairs to the second floor in the property were very smooth and it could easily slip anyone who is attending something urgently. My wife slipped in the stairs and she got injured heavily. While locking the main door, I pulled the door handle and it just came off with my hand, I was falling on my back with no control over where I was going. Luckily I fell on a handrail nearby and I got hold of that and I was saved with a little injury to my hand. Lastly, I was shared a text message with details to car park of the property which is right at the back of the property. But the instruction was inaccurate in terms of the street name that we need to take. But if you use logic you could find it with some workout. I just share these to make a bit improvements to the property to make it 100%. These things never may impact everybody as not everybody is going to slip on the stairs but just that it presents opportunity for a slip. Other than these the property itself is very nice, well decorated, well thought of and you will definitely enjoy your stay as we including our 5 year old did.
