Granary Cottage with hot tub on organic farmland

This was our second time at Granary Cottage and we felt very comfortable again. The house had everything we needed and was very clean. It was very quiet on the farm and we were able to relax very well. We also walked the farm trail several times and had a lot of fun. The staff and the farmer Jack were always very helpful and super nice. We will definitely be back. Many thanks for a great stay.

Located on a farm. Beautiful views from the farmland but none from the cottage. Phone number provided to contact host in the event of issues, however no reply on numerous attempts to call. Left a day early with chronic fatigue and due to an urgent family issue.

The cleanliness of the whole cottage was very bad. The shower was so bad that we had to request it be cleaned, but cleaner wasn’t available until 3rd day of our stay. The bbq was not cleaned prior to our arrival, again was cleaned upon our request on day 3 of our stay. They were apologetic. The entire cottage needed a thorough deep clean. Everything felt sticky. All utensils in the kitchen needed cleaning before use with old food on cutlery and cooking pots/saucepans. The toilet brush holder in the downstairs shower room made me gag as when I went to use the toilet brush there was what I can only describe as shit soup in the bottom of the holder. There is a pizza oven and games room in a large shed. Pizza oven was great but the games facilities were extremely poor. The table tennis bats looked like someone had tried to pick off the out coating of the bat, there was a dart board but no darts as they were all broken, the pool table was on a slant (not an issue for me personally but my nephew is a world champion pool player). No pool cue chalk, had to use chalkboard chalk on the tips of the pool cues. Bizarrely, despite there being a pizza oven, there was no pizza cutter. Shop is open on some days only and shuts at 2.30pm on those days. Outside of the control of the hosts, but we had no water for 2 days due to a water leak. We had communication via text on the day of our arrival and the water came back on later that day. We woke up to no water again on day 2 with no communication from the host other than a bucket of water and some bottled water left on the doorstep. Cottage was ok but there are some quite steep steps into the kitchen & I suffer with ME so I found that a challenge, although one of the bedrooms was downstairs next to the shower room. The property is advertised as having a hot tub but what is not made clear is that it is communal away from the cottage and surrounded by nettles.

Nice size house with lots of space in a rural location. Perfect for star gazing and nature watching. The pizza oven, play barn and park were the highlights.

House/garden could have done with as little bit of attention in areas but this by no means infringed on the quality of our stay. Noisy neighbours on site was a little bit of a let down but again it didn't stop us enjoying a great holiday and not something the owners could have predicted. We will definitely look at booking again and possibly try one of the other options on site.

The property was beautiful. So well equipped, and the hot tub was just the cherry on the top. Everything was spotless, the rooms were cozy, the fireplace reminded me of childhood. The location was fantastic, with lots to do around the property. Staying at Treberfedd really ignited that lust for the green part of the county in me. I hated coming back to the hustle and bustle of West Sussex. I’ve never felt so chilled, relaxed - and on top of all I’ve made a lot of memories with my partner. I look forward to my next trip to wales.

Being honest, the only thing that wasn’t amazing - but not a negative, was the internet. Which isn’t important I know, and the location means the overall chance at a decent network is much lower - but if you wanna watch a movie in the evenings, you’ve gotta rely on the TV channels. In a way, this was more of a positive, as you’re sort of stuck to watch what the channels say. And by no means an issue with the host or the accommodation as this is out their hands. I just couldn’t think of anything back to say about the place itself. Honestly the stay was fantastic.

Excellent views. Lovely cabin, cosy and with everything we needed. Very dog friendly with enclosed garden and the walks around the farm were great.

The setting was stunning, quirky park for the kids, Pizza & Ping Pong hut brilliant idea but does need an equipment update it was all looking tired and the availability to have music in the hut area.

The cottage although lovely I feel could do with a bit of an update, namely new lounge sofas they were quite uncomfortable, a new rug, updated kitchen and better shower. Although the above comments may sound negative its not negative at all it's just a bit of constructive feedback. All in all it was a very enjoyable stay, but the above would raise the bar on the property as the setting of the farm is quite magical.
