"Wonderful property, but...."

9.0

Lovely house in good location. Clean, tidy and well equipped. Host was quick to respond and helpful, leaving milk in the fridge for our arrival.

A review mentioned tricky stairs but they were very dodgy at the top. Going up into the bathroom was nerve racking but coming from a bedroom down to the bathroom was terrifying! A granny handle would be very beneficial.

Clifton house was a lot larger than it seemed from photos. So much space for just 2 of us and plenty for 4. Sitting area, three sofas, open to dinning area with table for 4. Large Kitchen with small table to sit at. Door to large fridge freezer and toilet and door to outside. Lovely long garden in summer would be nice to sit outside. Quiet neighbourhood. Warm inside and easy nest heating to turn up if you are cold. Large bedrooms comfy beds both double, front bedroom had blind and curtain back bedroom just has blind so bit bright early in morning. Large bathroom with walk in shower, electric, and bath. Enough place to hang clothes for short time. Toiletries in shower and around bath and sink. The whole house looked newly decorated, very clean and really nicely done. Both my friend and I commented how nice the place looked. The area is 20 minutes walk from the start of the centre. The Cathedral was close by and a lovely park Bishops Meadow. It is a big place to walk around, lots of interesting architecture. There was parking outside the house on the street, I managed to get a space when I arrived and left the car there for the two days. It seemed busy so you may struggle to park at busy times. Parking permit provided

Just a heads up for the less mobile, the stairs are a tight turn from the top step with a very thin slightly awkward step from the landing to the bathroom and then downstairs, I held on to the wall or the top stair post each time to get into or out the bathroom. At night time more precarious. Perhaps a night light that comes on just at your feet level to show the stairs might be useful?
