Location was ideal

To have had heating on evening of arrival and next morning- Approximately 24 texts first day trying to sort heating with owner/ Approximately 15 texts next day still arguing about not having any heating. The date was 29 November we were asked to pay extra £10 for heating if we required it. Family slept in clothes first night had breakfast in coats first morning. Owner kept chaning the reasons why we had no heating to be confirmed by me the thermostat batteries were flat.

"It was perfect for us. Clean, warm and comfortable."

10.0

A beautiful place to stay, sitting in a beautiful garden with great views. Inside, everywhere was spotlessly clean, warm and comfortable. Our hosts made our stay very pleasant indeed.

There’s nothing to dislike about The Coach House.

"Nicely placed for access to England and Wales, but needs a more thinking with regards to hospitality"

6.0

The property was comfortable; well equipped kitchen (except for a useless tin-opener/garlic press); very clean and tidy, spacious and airy. The water was hot throughout the day.

Firstly,on arrival the host immediately offered us 'other' accommodation, which we declined, then in the property we had booked, produced sheets of goods which were for sale - even billing us, on our return home, for the apple juice in the fridge which we assumed was a gesture of hospitality ! Most of the week we killed endless flies which seemed to enter, although there were no opening windows in the entire property, except in the kitchen. Consequently, we couldn't sleep with a window open and woke every morning to windows running with condensation - evidenced by the black mould on the sills and frames. The fireplace/wood burning stove had no wood, there were no tablets for the dishwasher and not one gesture of hospitality - no milk, bread, etc - not even flowers in a vase. More seriously, we found, in a corner in the kitchen, behind a high chair, the only fire extinguisher in the entire property. Shockingly, the uncomfortable pillows in the bedroom we used were not feather, but a block of foam. The heating comes on rather early in the morning, for a holiday let (6.30am) and goes off at 8.30am. We had to use a throw, the first few nights, until we bought wood for the fire, which although listed as a facility, had none provided. The Broadband was acceptable, although we experienced occasional 'drop-outs'. The Television reception was incredibly poor, so much so, we had to buy an Amazon Fire Stick, to stream TV via WiFi It is hard, from the description, to judge the proximity to the host's accommodation - in fact it is over-looked, which meant that it is not afforded much privacy and required closing the curtains on one side to effect this. Every evening, we were subjected to someone playing a drum-kit in an out-building of an adjacent property, which was audible through the closed windows.
