The communication from the property owners was exceptional from start to finish. The best I have ever had. The cottage was cosy and well equipped with a super log burner for winter nights. Lovely smell to the house and beds were very comfy. It was very very clean. Fabulous location close to the beach which was ideal for the pup to have a good run around. We were very appreciative of an early check in and a later check out. Thank you. Pearl and mark and Rhudy xx

Location to coast and town plus dog friendly. Linen and towels good quality.

The single beds are small for an adult. Kitchen equipment very basic.

"Cute cosy cottage."

8.0

Seaforth cottage was a very small but very cosy little cottage. In a beautiful and quaint seaside town with stunning views and big grassy hills to roll down. You can see the appeal with its gentle landscapes and delicious seafood restaurants. Nairn has a good train service to Inverness and Aberdeen. The cottage itself was clean and nicely prepared with tea & coffee, fluffy towels, washing facilities and a modern television. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils. We loved the shower and cute, thoughtful, decorations. The cottage is adorned with books, games and information on local attractions. The location is very quiet and calming. We absolutely loved building sand castles the beach and harbour. The drive between Nairn and Aviemore is gorgeous with its natural landscapes and woolly sheep free roaming the plains. We enjoyed the calm. Dog friendly.

In all honesty, Nairn needs some TLC as half the stores were shops had shut down or rusting. It's sad to see such a sweet town so run down. Presumably hit hard by the pandemic and recession. As for the cottage, My only real issue would be the carpets and parking. The double bedroom and stairs had fraying carpets that our young child kept slipping on and the lounge carpet had some marks on it. A few items of furniture needed some repairing, like the patio cupboard, patio table and TV stand. The kitchen table was too small to fit two adults and one child around so we sat at the coffee table to eat and drink. The lack of parking space at the cottage was annoying, especially when carrying shopping from the car.

Great location

Unfortunately the property wasn't very clean. Carpets and sofas a bit grubby. I know it's dog friendly but some decent sofa covers would help. Under sofas filthy with dust and food crumbs - noticed on retrieval of our dogs toy which rolled under sofa. Crockery and glasses in cupboards need cleaned before use. Also the property smelt terribly of damp, which no amount of the air freshener bags dotted around the place will cover up. Not great!
