Blashford Manor Farmhouse - New Forest Cottage

Good location for visiting the new forest, lovely and quiet on site and was nice to see the animals that lived there on the farm.

Exterior upkeep around the hot tub felt a bit forgotten compared to the beautiful interiors! Neighbours hot tub was not much more than 2 metres away, there was a fence in between. we had no neighbours but I feel it wouldn't be very private if we had, especially if either party had music or loud conversation!

The self check in is not what I expected for a young couple just literally married. I contacted them ahead of the stay to ask them to do something special for the couples arrival and was told they would ‘see what they could do’, which was actually nothing. This was their only honeymoon and they lost a whole day due to the state funeral for HM QEII. If it was a question of money I would have rather they said. I did contact them by text to give them a right to reply and was told the message would be passed on and they would reply. They didn’t. I was devastated for the couple as they have had so much taken from them and they didn’t ask for or expect much and I just wanted it to be extra special for them on arrival, petals, candles, something bubbly, but nope, didn’t happen.
