Charming Summerhouse Annexe in lush gardens in Fowey

Location was private and quiet and excellent parking facilities

The location superb especially free car parking. Private garden, warm and light. Good facilities. Comfy bed.

The catch on the gate a bit stiff. I had a bit of trouble finding channels on the tv. A short guide would be useful especially if you haven't used a smart tv.

The property was close to the harbour and parking was close by…

The property was tired and in need of renovation in the bathroom. It was a hot day and the apartment was very hot on arrival with no air conditioning or fans.

No personal touches, not even a pint of milk! After a VERY long drive a little welcome pack would have been nice, something I have had in nearly all the properties I’ve stayed at. Facilities quite basic. Bathroom in need of modernisation, bath took ages to drain. No bottle opener, scissors etc. It’s in real need of some TLC as it could be very nice, but as it is, just not worth the money.

The spaciousness of the property and the outlook to the garden. Bed quite comfortable. I would not refer to it as luxury - it isn’t. Which means guests are disappointed on arrival as it’s quite expensive

It’s quite expensive and because it’s classed as luxury in the advert - that’s what you expect as we were paying almost £200 per night. It’s far from being a luxurious property. The word needs to be removed. Sofa needs to be replaced. It’s very uncomfortable and broken. You cannot sit on it properly without being forced forward. I’ve read previous reviews some going back a year or 2 and they mentioned the sofa. It’s also the only place to sit apart from the dining chairs. Also the bathroom needs updating. It’s very stained and worn. This has also been mentioned before. The walk back from Fowey is very steep - it’s not mentioned in the details. It needs to be.
